Does PersonalToDo work on both iOS and Android? ▼
PersonalToDo is live and available now for iOS (including iPadOS and macOS Designed for iPad). An Android version with complete feature parity (on-device OCR, custom categories, tokens, and secure cloud backups) is currently in active development and coming soon to the Google Play Store.
Do I need to create an account or provide my email to use the app? ▼
No account is ever required! PersonalToDo believes in zero-friction privacy. When you download the app, you can start creating tasks immediately. Your data is stored locally in your device's secure sandbox.
Are my scanned images uploaded to third-party AI servers? ▼
Never. All optical character recognition (OCR) is performed entirely on your device using Apple Vision (on Apple platforms) and Google ML Kit (on Android). No photos, camera previews, or extracted text snippets are ever transmitted to any external AI servers or remote APIs.
How does Cloud Sync work between my devices? ▼
Cloud sync is optional and disabled by default. On iOS and macOS, enabling sync stores your tasks in your private Apple iCloud container (CloudKit) with end-to-end encryption. On Android, secure cloud backup utilizes your personal Google account. Only you can access your data.
How do tokens work and how can I refill them? ▼
Tokens are used to perform AI-powered camera OCR scans. Every user receives a starter balance of tokens. Once depleted, you can easily claim refills by watching optional short rewarded sponsor videos through Google AdMob, or by claiming free refills in the Token Store.
How do I clear or delete my stored data? ▼
You have 100% control over your data. In the app, navigate to Profile → Privacy & Storage Settings → Clear iCloud & Local Storage. This will permanently purge all tasks from both your local device and private cloud container.
