Welcome to StoryNest, developed by KCO Apps ("we", "us", or "our"). We are deeply committed to protecting the privacy and safety of children, parents, and all individuals who use our mobile applications.

1. Information We Collect (and Don't Collect)

In strict compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR-K, and Apple App Store & Google Play Family Policies:

Zero Personal Identification: We do NOT collect names, physical addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, or precise geolocation from children or any users.
No Account Mandatory: You do not need to create an account, log in with social media, or provide credentials to read stories or play soothing sounds.
No Behavioral Tracking: We do NOT perform cross-app identifier tracking (IDFA/GAID) or behavioral profiling on children.

2. On-Device Processing & Data Security

To provide a rich offline experience without compromising privacy, StoryNest stores non-personal app preferences locally on your physical device using iOS/Android secure storage:

Bookmarks & Favorites: The list of stories you have saved for offline reading.
Reader Preferences: Your selected theme mode (Dark, Light, Sepia), font size, and audio volume.
Reminder Settings: On-device local notification schedules configured by you.

This data stays on your device and is never uploaded, sold, or shared with external analytics brokers.

3. Cloud Synchronization & Backups

If you back up your device using Apple iCloud or Google Drive Backup, your local app settings may be backed up according to your operating system's standard end-to-end encrypted backup protocols. We have no access to these backup files.

4. Third-Party Integrations & Advertising

StoryNest may display non-personalized, family-appropriate advertisements powered by Google AdMob strictly configured in Family-Safe / COPPA-compliant mode:

Ads served are vetted to ensure appropriateness for all age groups.
Contextual ad requests do not use persistent identifiers or cross-site tracking.

5. Your Rights & Contact Us

Under global privacy regulations (including GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you have full ownership of your data. Because all StoryNest data is stored locally on your device, you can completely erase all bookmarks and preferences at any time by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
